Happy first Monday in Summer. The weather is gorgeous here. It can't possibly last. School is out so with any luck I will get more reading done as I have a wee bit more free time when the kids are not in school.
In case you missed it, Angry Robot Books announced this past Friday that the imprints Exhibit A Books (crime/mystery) and Strange Chemistry (YA) have been discontinued. It's always sad when a publisher closes. So many people are affected - authors whose books were due to be published, editors at the imprint, etc. My hope is that Angry Robot Books itself continues to thrive. Angry Robot is going to be publishing 3 books per month instead of 2 so things look okay for Angry Robot at the moment. My thoughts are with everyone affected. I hope that the authors find new publishers and that staff at both imprints find new jobs.
