My favorite fairy tale is The Twelve Dancing Princesses. It has always fascinated me. I read the Grimm versions as a child and they have always stayed with me.

What a fabulous interview! This author is new to me- but like him, I am a huge fan of Neil Gaiman. This book sounds interesting (I love Jane Eyre). Thanks so much for sharing! I would love to win.

I would have to pick Ares as well - however reading many UF and PNR books there are many demons and gods created by wonderful authors that I would pick also.

Hahaha, I love your story of how Calliope Jenkins was born. And I agree with your friends (having lived in Minnesota and South Dakota), nothing magical happens out here. All we ever get are cowboys and Indians. So yay!!! Thanks for finding some hidden things for us!

As for me, I scare myself into thinking I see hidden things all the time when I am out hiking with my husky.

It is to be hoped that I am never put in charge of anything outside of a library or a dish of pastries. However, in the twisted world of the question writer, I am in charge of a team of Levels. I would like to have one with camoflage abilities, one with super hearing, one with extra special sight and one that is good at getting dishes of pastries to me without cost...

I love reading post-apocolyptic and dystopic fiction, and my absolute favorite is the S.M. Stirling's Change novels.

Sorry - didn't get to finish! What I like about this genre is that people have to start from scratch and there is a lot of character development in leaving the current world behind and learning how to start again.
