TQ: What would you say is your most interesting writing quirk?
Michele: I don't really have a writing quirk. Maybe I should get one. Like, I could wear a purple hat while plotting. Or stand on one leg while writing the final scene. Or insist only on green M&Ms during deadline.
TQ: Are you a plotter or a pantser?
Michele: Definitely a pantser. I have to tell the story to myself first, and then go fix everything in revisions. But I also revise and edit as I go along so by the time I finish a book it's actually closer to a third draft than a first.
TQ: Describe Must Love Lycans in 140 characters or less.
Michele: Outcast empath psychotherapist falls in love with amnesiac werewolf.
TQ: Without giving anything away, what is/are your favorite scene(s) in Must Love Lycans?
Michele: Um ... I can't tell you. Because it's a climatic scene, and the reader feedback has been amazing on it. I'm just glad I write paranormal romance, you know?
TQ: In Must Love Lycans, who was the most difficult character to write and why? The easiest and why?
Michele: Maybe Jarred was the most difficult because I couldn't quite figure him out. Villian? Hero? Both? He still has a story to tell. The easiest? I suppose that would be Kelsey. I completely empathize with characters who make the wrong choices, and then spend a lot of time figuring out how to pay penance.
TQ: Who is your favorite character in the Broken Heart series?
Michele: This is a difficult question, but I think Jessica and Patrick from I'M THE VAMPIRE, THAT'S WHY will remain my favorite characters.
TQ: What's next?
Michele: Well, my venture into Young Adult Paranormal hits shelves on February 28, 2012. UNDEADLY is Book 1 in the Reaper Diaries. It's about a teen girl who finds out she's a reaper--and that she has to reap her almost boyfriend. I'm writing that one under the name Michele Vail. In March 2012, the next book in the Wizards of Nevermore series comes out---NOW OR NEVER.

I've always been partial to werewolves. I guess it has to do with the fact that I love wolves, so it goes without reason that I'd be drawn to the werewolf when it comes to paranormals.

My favorite paranormal being is a vampire. Sleep all day. Party all night. Forever young. Seriously I love the mystery, the immortality, I love the idea that I would love be a vampire in history and see the world revolve and change around me. I like the dark, sexy, and dangerous aspects.

+1 After Twilight, my favourite paranormal beings were werewolves. Then came Sookie Stackhouse and the adorability that is Sam, making me fall for Shifters. Of course, as soon as I learned of Eric I switched to the Vampire side. Now I've finished The Iron King by Julie Kagawa and I've realised that it would be so much nicer to have a mischievous faery like Puck to call my own:)
