The View From Monday - August 15, 2011

It's the middle of August. I can't believe how quickly this summer has flown by. My small humans will be starting school in 15 days. I've shopped for school supplies for the youngest. Ouch. The high schooler does not find out what she needs until the first day of classes as each teacher has different requirements. The start of a new school year is always a bit sad for me. It signals the passing of time and reminds me that my small humans are not so small anymore. I hope that each of your children has a good school year full of small and large successes.

And now... back to books. There are not a tremendous number of books out this week.. The Qwillery will have an interview with debut author Daniel Polansky (Low Town / The Straight Razor Cure) and a guest post from debut author Jo Anderton (Debris). There will also be interviews with Nancy Kilpatrick, editor of the Evolve 2 anthology, and Brian Ruckley (The Edinburgh Dead).
